Just a short post before I start doing my work.

It's been a rough week for me. Been sick for more than a week (since last Thursday) and I have already seen the doctor three times. I am almost recovering but the work is piling up and there's a lot of stress. It's the peak period and everyone's super busy and most of us are sick. There's this horrible virus going around in office. So drink more fluids and eat more vitamins, people!

In addition, thanks to the stress and my sickly self, my brain isn't really functioning. So I tend to show a black face really easily, even to my family. I feel really guilty about that because I know it's not their fault and I shouldn't give them the black face. Feel so bad....

I was reading a book called "The Time of my Life" by Cecelia Ahern during my medical leave. It talks about how your life can come knocking on your door when you are in the pits. Life takes the form of a human, and the appearance of Life very much depends on how you lead your life. If you are stuck in a shitty job that you don't enjoy doing, your family ain't supportive of you and your friends shun you, then your Life would probably look like an old man wearing a rugged suit with a bad breath.

Life, as it turns out, as its own way of rectifying things and making sure that it turns out well, eventually. Some of us might get the easy way out, while others would have to overcome more obstacles to get to the finish line. But anyhow, we will get there, eventually.

Sometimes I whine about my troubles, thinking that why some people just have the luck and seem to solve their problems easily. But I should probably think about those worse-off than me, and count my blessings. Moreover, we have all different problems. My problems might seem so insignificant to others, who have much more to worry about.

The moral of the story: take a step back and think about your life. Are we taking things for granted? That's why when something goes wrong, we blame it on our luck and fate? It's all in our own hands and we have the ability to make things right, going after what we want. Of course, we are allowed to whine about it. But when it comes to the crunch, we have to take the initiative and pursue what we think is best for ourselves.

So instead of thinking about the stress from work, I will take action and start working right away!
