Here's Part 2! Sorry for the long wait!

Day 3: Kyoto, moving onto Osaka

Check out my brother's super sian face in the morning. Hahaha

We went to this 24 hour eatery just beside our hotel. Given that it was a weekday, there wasn't any crowd AT ALL.

We checked out at 11plus and made our way to Osaka via train!

This is Takashimaya, just next to Swissotel.

We stayed just above Namba station. It's very convenient and there are a lot of areas to explore in Namba (can save on the expensive train rides).

Day 3 outfit.

The view from the 32nd floor! (We requested for a high floor, hee hee.)

It's quite expensive to stay here but given that most of the hotels in Osaka were around the same price (but at only 19 square metres big), I'd say indulge yourself and book a room at Swissotel (around 26-32 square metres. Be sure to ask for twin beds because the room is bigger for twin beds).

So that you can have a good rest after a long day's shopping and touring around. It's worth it.

Lunch at a Chinese restaurant near our hotel.

Seriously, the portion's very big and eat Chinese food in Japan?? One of the worst decisions we made on this trip.

I kept telling my dad that I am not gonna eat Chinese food while I am here. And it's not even authentic!

Hmph.

Shopping again!

There are many underground shopping areas in Namba.

So we had tempura for dinner at the underground food street!

Very cheap and yummy tempura!

Around S$5 per person? Japanese food isn't really expensive in Osaka, I guess.

==================

Day 4's outfit.

A bit of cultural tour today!

At the Osaka Castle.

Admission fee: 550 yen per person.

It's a 8 storey castle (very small compared to other countries' castles) with nothing much inside.

The other parts of the castle were not open to the public.

After the cultural tour, we went to Umeda to shop and eat!

We had okonomiyaki for lunch and it was a super long wait for our food!

There is only chef preparing the food and he could only make 4 at one go. Super slow la....

Mont blanc cake and vanilla ice cream for teabreak to rest our aching feet.

Costs 360 yen (S$4.70).

Dinner was back at the famous shopping streets in Namba and I requested to have sushi!

I mean, you HAVE to try the real sushi at least once right?

Almost everything here is at 120 yen (S$1.56) per plate!

There is no service charge and green tea is free.

Unlike our expensive Japanese restaurants in Singapore.

Everything also wanna charge us.... Even wet towels.

Part 3 (on Day 5-7) will be up next week! =)
