For high tea, I think the choices were quite good!
There were both sweet and savoury snacks for all to share.
I am a fan of lemon tart and so this small tart really makes me go "Mmmmmm".
The lemon curd is sooooo flavourful and tangy and the pastry is the kind that I like: not crispy but baked to perfection.
Not a fan of scones but the scones here packed in a separate basket, all warmed up for your enjoyment. With jam and cream, it's such a sinful delight!
The tea time is from 3pm to 5.30pm.
You can actually get a variety of coffee and tea drinks.
Stan tried the Fullerton Blend (left) and Iced Mocha (right). He says the mocha is nicer.
As for me, I drank three pots of tea - Imperial Oolong, Moroccan Mint and Fullerton Express.
In my opinion, the Oolong was not nice at all. If you are a fan of mint like me, go for the moroccan mint!
We reserved a table outside to view the fireworks at night.
It was a one week before National Day and we will be able to get a preview of the fireworks without having to squeeze with the crowds - perfect for someone who hates the masses like me.
Weather was awesome and we just chatted till 8.30pm for the fireworks!
Ordered chix wings (stuffed with Hainanese chicken rice) to share - $16.
Too full from the high tea for a proper dinner but at the same time, we felt paiseh not to order anything.
I always like to think that the fireworks were there for my birthday.
Makes me feel good eh? Hahahaha..
Thank you for putting up with my crazy bimbotic rants.
Thank you for celebrating eight birthdays with me.
