Food Galore: Brussels Sprouts at Sentosa Cove ![]() Before the drought ended, I was at Sentosa Quayside Isle on a bright and sunny Saturday morning! ![]() ![]() I may look super black-faced, stern and much older than my actual age during work, but I will dress down and go back to my cheery self on weekends! Hello there! ![]() ![]() Brussels Sprouts 31 Ocean Way #1-01 Quayside Isle Singapore 098375 ![]() ![]() Yes, this is my signature black face. No la! I was just looking at the menu. Since when have you seen people smiling at the menus?! ![]() Brussels Sprouts is renowned for mussels and beer. Almost wanted to order a beer but it seems too early in the day to be drinking. So we ordered lotsa mussels! =) ![]() See? Black face no more! ![]() There is free flow of fries with every order of mussels. It just gets better! ![]() You can choose from a variety of cooking styles and sauces. Cooking style: Clear Ostendaise: fish stock, lobster bisque, grey shrimps and mushrooms Very flavourful bisque and you can actually see the small shrimps in the bisque. Yummy! ![]() Cooking style: Gratinated A L'Escargot: gratinated with breadcrumbs, garlic, lemon juice, parsley and butter The crumbs were really crispy, adding a new whole dimension to the texture. Overall, the mussels are all very fresh. Very different from the usual chilled ones that we eat at buffets. ![]() Roulade de Poulet Chicken thigh wrapped in parma ham served with garlic butter and rosemary potatoes This tasted more like pork than chicken. It has a very strong pork taste. I don't usually mind the pork taste but this one was very unpleasant for me. The nicest part of this dish has got to be the rosemary potatoes. Other than that, no other redeeming feature. ![]() Next time I have to order their Belgian beer to go with the mussels! Quayside Isle at Sentosa Cove is a pleasant place to get away from the crowds and chill on the weekends. So if you are looking for somewhere to chill, this is a nice place with an awesome view! ![]() Labels: food galore |
