Food Galore: Chinese Restaurant Hai Tien Lo at Pan Pacific Hotel ![]() ![]() Hai Tien Lo Pan Pacific Hotel Level 3 7 Raffles Boulevard Marina Square The restaurant specializes in Cantonese cuisine and has a very atas feel to the whole place! ![]() ![]() ![]() The view of the hotel lobby from the restaurant. ![]() I can't really remember the name of this dish, supposed to be some signature tofu. The minced meat sauce is slightly spicy and the tofu is soooo smooth. Everything goes very well together! ![]() ![]() Fried prawns coated with salted egg This is the only shot of the dish I managed to snap before everyone dived into it. Hai Tien Lo really sells quality over quantity. This 6-piece dish costs about S$24 I think. And each is really value-for-money. $4 each, can buy about 1.5 cups of bubble tea. Ok, maybe I value bubble tea over the prawns. ![]() Braised pork in claypot style The pork here is from the neck of the pig. Very crunchy but has a rather strong "porky" taste. Not for those who doesn't like the taste of pork. ![]() Fried rice with caviar They call it 鱼子酱 but it's actually just fish roe, not the caviar as in black fish roe. Nonetheless, the fried rice is cooked to perfection and each grain is clearly defined on its own, with so much flavour. There seems to be more seafood than rice in every bowl! ![]() Fried ramen with seafood Fried ramen is actually quite refreshing for a change, not your usual noodles cooked in pork broth. I think I prefer fried ramen. The noodles won't get soggy and it's very chewy, just how I like my noodles to be! ![]() It's a nice place to bring your parents for a good meal, if you have the budget. I think there's at least half of the items on the menu that goes by per person. So it's really quite expensive if you intend to get like 5 or 6 dishes for a family of 4. For Mother's Day, maybe? ![]() Labels: family, food galore |
