Food Galore: International Buffet at Triple Three, Mandarin Orchard Yay! Stan's aunt brought the whole family out for buffet! Triple Three Mandarin Orchard Level 5 333 Orchard Road Outfit of the Day: F21 sweater, high-waisted shorts and loafers from Bangkok, black studded bag from TaoBao. They serve international buffet and the spread is quite good. Ranging from Indian to Japanese to Italian cuisine. There's a counter where you can choose the type of pasta and the ingredients and the type of sauce. Basically, just customise your entire pasta! Pasta was cooked nicely =) Fresh seafood section - clams, crabs, prawns, mussels, oysters. Sushi! They have my favourite swordfish and I had two servings of that. It was quite fresh and the slices were thick, I like! Wagyu roasted beef - I don't really like roasted beef because I find it too dry. Nothing special about this one either. I had half a dozen of oysters, some drunken prawns, lots of sashimi, mussels, prawns and pasta. By this time, I am already bloated! I am not a fan of the desserts at the buffet table. Indeed, they are always the prettiest amongst the other food. It's just nice for picture-taking. There were profiteroles and I was sooo looking forward to trying them, only to be greatly disappointed afterwards. NOT NICE ONE! Hmph. The mango pudding was super sour. Cakes were not nice too. I only enjoyed the chocolate fondue because honeydew and chocolate are so perfect together! Not a fan of chocolate, so I won't comment on the other choc desserts. It costs about $100++ per person for Saturday dinner, which I don't think it's really worth it unless you are a BIG eater. I personally like to enjoy my food in proper portions instead of having to gorge myself silly because I should make it worth at a buffet. Labels: buffet, food galore |
