Seeing Double at Palio (Resorts World Sentosa)

Wednesday, September 11, 2013

About a month ago, Stan and I went on a double date with my "oldest" friend, Jasmine and her boyfriend, Gerald.

She is my oldest friend because we have known each other since our primary school days! LOL

Jasmine and Gerald =)

Stan and I.

We wanted to try Jamie Oliver's restaurant at Vivo City but it was too packed.

And so we went to Palio at Hotel Michael instead.

Bread to share!

It was a long walk from Vivo City to Palio and we were all starving.

"Hotel Michael" Signature Pizza

Their wood fired pizzas are quite popular, do give it a try if you are there!

Gerald had the Pici Aragostelle, an eggless pasta with crayfish and zucchini.

I had the good old traditional Carbonara.

Jasmine's Spaghetti Frutti di Mare

We concluded that this is the least nice amongst our 5 dishes. Over-powering tomato sauce and you can get quite sick of it easily.

Stan was craving for rice and went for the Orzo Mantecato con Gamberi and Lardo.

Ok, it's actually barley risotto served on a bed of garlic cream, sautéed sea prawn, cured pork belly and black lava salt.

Tastes a bit milky but Stan quite loved it.

I like how relaxed the ambience at Palio is. Not very crowded and conducive for dating =)
