Food Galore: Lola's Cafe at Kovan

Wednesday, November 13, 2013

It's the first time I ventured to Kovan and there's a very nice cafe just 5 minutes away from Kovan MRT! All thanks to Wei Sian for bringing me here! =)

It's best to go on a weekday because the place is pretty small and will get filled up quickly on weekends. The prices are very reasonable and there is no service charge at all!

They open at 3pm on Tuesdays, but otherwise, they are open for brunch in the morning for the rest of the week! (Oh yes, they are closed on Mondays.)

It was a pretty hot day but I didn't have the craft beer. Next time, perhaps?

We had the iced mango peach tea and iced ginger pear tea. In my opinion, the mango peach tea is better because the ginger pear tea was a bit too bland for my liking.

Wei Sian had the brownie with vanilla ice cream. Though I am not a fan of chocolate, this brownie had me! It's warm, moist and the top layer is slightly crispy! Very nice but very heaty.

Just nice for two to share.

I looooove lemon meringue tarts and this one is good and cheap! $4 each. Cheap right?? I have seen other places selling one tart for $7. Crazy, I won't buy lor.

This one is just nice for one person. The lemon curd is perfectly sourish and it's not like some hardened paste. Instead, its texture is smooth and creamy. The crust is crispy and everything is yummy! I like this!

If I have the time, I will be back to try the brunch menu some day!
