Food Galore: Cafe-Hopping to Park at Holland Village ![]()
With the weather getting cooler lately, it's the perfect time for alfresco dining! I am not a fan of the nature, but the cool winds have forced me to get out of the air-conditioned areas.
There are many nice cafes in Holland Village including this one below - PARK.

There isn't much space for indoor dining and people usually seat outside. There were only two waiters on duty that day and it was a full house! Luckily we placed our orders before the crowds came and didn't have to wait very long for our food. But the waiters weren't free to refill our cups.
Lesson learnt: go cafe-hopping on weekdays where there is less crowd. Service might be better.

Smoked Duck Breast Risotto
Portion looks small but it's actually quite filling! Very flavorful risotto and the rice weren't overcooked. Bits of duck breast could be more. Don't be so stingy with the ingredients… Oh yes, the fried vermicelli on the risotto is totally unnecessary. Not only did it not add on to the aesthetic appeal, the dish didn't taste any better either. ![]()
Caramelised banana pancakes with vanilla ice cream
The caramel sauce was a bit too much for my liking. Generous portion of bananas with a slight tinge of crisp burnt sugar worked for me though. And the vanilla ice cream didn't seem very sweet, probably because of the overly-sweet caramel.
Not something suitable for brunch but I was just having a sweet tooth that day =)

Anyone got anymore nice cafes to introduce at Holland Village? Do let me know! I have been going to Holland Village more often after the Circle Line has opened! Very convenient!
