Food Galore: Cafe-hopping to Common Man Coffee Roasters ![]()
Yay brunch time! Another upcoming and very popular brunch place =)
![]() Common Man Coffee Roasters #01-00 22 Martin Road Singapore 239058 Open from 8am - 7pm ![]() This place is very big, as compared to most cafes in Singapore. Though it was very crowded on a Sunday morning, the place still looks pretty spacious and you don't feel claustrophobic. This is something very rare in Singapore! ![]() ![]() The menu: ![]() We were lucky to get seats even at 10plus because shortly after, a long queue formed outside the restaurant! ![]() Turkish Common Man Breakfast - $25 The organic eggs are Phyllo-wrapped in this Turkish style breakfast, complemented with crispy feta (which was a bit too salty for me) and pita bread. I googled Phyllo and it's actually paper-thin sheets of unleavened flour dough separated by a thin film of butter. Ah, I learnt something new today! ![]() Organic Eggs Benedict - $24 This is not your usual eggs benny served with smoked salmon or parma ham. They serve it with tender braised ox cheeks which gives it a twist to the whole dish! Served with artisanal sourdough toast, this is very filling for me! I would have loved it even more with more salad though. ![]() Skinny Latte - $6 Simple, no frills. Would have been better with a shot of vanilla (my favourite =D) ![]() Now that I have my new camera, it's so easy to take good pictures and transfer them to my phone immediately!
