Food Galore: Cafe-hopping to The Bank at Asia Square

1 Shenton Way
Singapore 068803

Came here on a Sunday and the place was pretty empty at 10plus. But any later, you might not get seats! Most of the tables are already reserved. So if you wanna head here for brunch, come early or book a table in advance!

My appetite has been shrinking recently, not sure if it's due to stress or what. So I could even barely finish my pancakes. Which are not big, by the way.

Pancakes with berry compote and cream

The pancake is too solid for my liking, not fluffy enough. Kinda dry too, I felt like I was eating some soft cookies.

Eggs Benedict

A must-try at every cafe to see whether the chef is up to standard. Clearly this one here is not.

The poached eggs were over-poached (is there such a word?). Hollandaise sauce was more towards bland than creamy and tangy.

But definitely one thing's for sure, the food is very aesthetically appealing. Just not the same towards for my palette.

At least the place's got a nice ambience and the staff are all very friendly! The prices for brunch at nett. No GST and service charge.

So if you are looking for somewhere quiet, come to Raffles Place on a Sunday! =)
