It's mostly self-serviced here. You pick your own seat, browse the menu at the order counter, make payment and wait for your drinks.
When the buzzer goes off, you go back to the counter to collect your food.
It's not a bad idea, because that saves the waiters from hovering around the tables. No pressure to leave this place at all!
There is this lovely area at the attic. Good for small events! But in Singapore weather, might not really be feasible..
GB and I took the only sofa in the cafe and sat there for three full hours! The cafe is pretty empty around 11am, but at 1plus it's full house! So don't come too late or you might have to wait for a pretty long time.
There are two swing benches facing the road (too dark to take pictures) for couples to camwhore. But the bench is much less comfortable compared to our sofa!
Their brunch menu is pretty limited, so both of us ordered the same thing: Eggs Benedict!
GB's latte with a super cute bear on it. It's the regular size and it's quite a big cup already!
My iced chocolate (which obviously pales in comparison next to GB's latte) but tastes good!
You get to top up $3 for a drink (choice of latte, hot/iced chocolate or juice) when you order their eggs benedict. Otherwise, usual price for the drinks ranges from $5.60 to $7 plus.
OMG OMG OMG! We couldn't stop raving about the eggs benedict ($13.50)!
The muffins were toasted with butter and the bacon was just nice, not too fatty nor lean. The salad serving was generous and salad sauce was very appetising!
The sauce was yummy too, together with the perfectly poached eggs, everything is perfect!
GB got a free plain waffle worth $4 from the PERX app, so be sure to download it and scan the QR code before entering the cafe. You could win a free drink or something!
Anyway, back to the waffle, it might look plain and unappetising. BUT it's actually quite yummy too! With butter and maple syrup, it's a perfect dessert to share! If not for the eggs benedict, we'd add on a scoop of ice cream for sure.
All in all, d' Good Cafe is a really nice place to chill on a weekday. Value for money (way better than Department of Caffeine, in my humble opinion)!
