Haven't been blogging about food for soooo long!

On the first day after peak, we went to Hatched!

Have heard from others mentioning Hatched but have never tried it for myself till today.

I got a very bad first impression when I first stepped into the place. The waitress looks like she doesn't really know what she is doing.

I didn't even know she was the staff till she looked at us with a blur expression that said, "Eh.. You here to eat?" No, I am here to watch people eat. Duh..........

The prices for the eggs are quite high, no? And who would eat just one egg when you can get two for just another $6?

After we ordered, my order came pretty fast. But not GB's. His took forever till we saw the blur waitress serve his order to the caucasian at the next table. Seriously??

It can't be a case of two same orders because GB specifically asked for no baked beans. And even if it's the exact same thing, they should serve GB first because the caucasians ordered later than us! Worst of all, the dumb guy just started eating without realizing that it's not what he ordered!

As it turns out, they really served the wrong order to the wrong customer. And they only gave a very very insincere apology. I really hate the service here.

Mine: The Sleepover ($12)

Quite nice and the portion is just nice for me. I don't usually eat a lot and this still took me quite long! Hehe..

GB's: Usual Suspects ($16)

Comes with a cup of coffee/tea/juice. Looks pretty plain right? But tastes quite good. At least GB likes it.

This is the coffee that came with the set. They didn't provide milk till we asked for it.

As GB stirred, there was a layer of foam formed. Since the people at Hatched didn't even bother to create any fanciful pattern, GB used the spoon and created his own!

At the end of the meal, they did give us a 10% discount. Though no one brought up the wrong order again, I think the discount was to compensate for their mistake.
